About Us

Born from a desire to respond to the real needs of Bălan's community and to contribute to the development of a healthy, active and united environment, Asociația Paideia Bălan came into being.

The initiative belongs to a group of 5 families — all local entrepreneurs — who believe that a strong community is built through education, involvement and mutual support.

The name Paideia comes from Greek philosophy and denotes the process of the harmonious formation of the person — an education that develops character, civic spirit, discipline and moral values.

The community needs opportunities for children and young people, positive role models, and activities that encourage discipline, collaboration and confidence in one's own strengths.

For this reason, Asociația Paideia Bălan actively supports local sport, backing both the junior groups and the senior team of the football club. The association also encourages excellence in kickboxing, where athletes from the community have achieved remarkable results at national level. We also support the Husky dog breeders' community, and the results achieved in sled dog competitions contribute to promoting our community.

We believe that the development of a healthy community also means supporting initiative and practical education through meetings, debates and activities dedicated to entrepreneurship in areas such as marketing, sales, financial literacy and personal development.

Asociația Paideia Bălan aims to be a space for involvement and collaboration, where people together build opportunities for the community and for future generations.
